Australian producers head to Goa for Film Bazaar and IFFI

Screen Australia has opened a Producer Delegation to Goa for India’s biggest screen-industry fortnight: WAVES Film Bazaar (20–24 November 2026) and the International Film Festival of India, IFFI (20–28 November 2026).
Up to eight Australian producers, or people from production companies, will be supported to attend. The aim is practical: meet Indian partners, build working relationships and move narrative projects towards Official Co-production under the Australia–India Co-production Treaty.
What the delegation offers
- Up to $8,000 per application, whether an individual, a team or a company applies.
- It covers travel, accommodation, living costs, insurance and accreditation for Film Bazaar and IFFI.
- Time to pursue business meetings in the region before the market and festival begin.
Who it is for
Producers of narrative feature films and television series with a track record in TV or online and direct-to-audience releases, whose current slate has real creative and commercial potential as a co-production with Indian partners. Applications closed on 20 August 2026.
Why it matters
Co-productions between Australia and India are exactly the bridge IWIL works on every day. A government-backed delegation to Goa is a strong signal that the treaty is being used, and that there is growing appetite on both sides for stories made together.
